If you have more than one child you already know that every child is different.
A lot of us worry about our children’s future especially when they are struggling at school..
I have been working with children for over 10 years and I am also a mother of 4 young adult children. So I know every child is different.
However, talking from experience every child can thrive and do great at school if they have CONSISTENT support at home
When we as parents start taking our child’s learning seriously by being intentional about their home learning and their well being your child will do well in everything they do. (that’s the truth)
I’m not talking about academics alone. Enrolling them in extracurricular activities (eg: Gymnastics, Swimming, and football etc) also helps them become more responsible, be a team player and become disciplined. These are important skills for kids to develop as they are growing up.
I know we are all busy, but let’s try our best to create some time for our little ones by spending quality time with them.
Whether by reading with them and sitting with them as they do their homework.
Make it a point of taking them to the library to borrow books and read.
These may look like small things. Never look down on the impact of small changes.
I have seen a drastic improvement in my student’s grades when their parents step in to help them at home!
Remember you get what you put in when it comes to our children.
Please make an effort today! Don’t leave everything to school.
If you want to raise extraordinary children, you have to do extraordinary things that most parents are not doing!
Any child that you see who’s excelling in school usually has supporting parents at home.!
(we teachers know this)
Spending quality time together with our kids is also very important for their mental health. When you come back from work have dinner together and watch TV together. Talk about your day and ask them about their day. When we do this often we are creating a lasting memory with them.
Please let’s pay MORE attention to everything that concerns our children. Listen to them more 😊
Let’s stop taking everything they do personally!
Dear parents, remember we are raising tomorrow’s leaders. And we know that -Everything starts from home 🏠
YOUR CHILD NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT TO SUCCEED IN SCHOOL AND LIFE
Happy Parenting ❤️
